While windows make up just 8% of a building's outer shell, they are the source of almost 40% of all heat losses — yet most homeowners replace their heating system first.
Just because your windows look intact doesn't mean they insulate effectively. Old windows are the single greatest source of wasted energy in most homes — replacing them delivers returns that conventional investments rarely match.
Compared to a new reference window at Uw = 0.9 W/m²K:
The aluplast® energeto® achieves Uw 0.60 W/m²K through multi-chamber profiles with foam-filled chambers, triple-glazing compatibility, and thermal bridge-free construction — up to 20% lighter than conventional windows.
Noise is uncontrollable — but its impact on your home doesn't have to be. aluplast® sound-insulating windows reduce outside noise by up to 47 dB, turning a major road into near silence.
According to WHO research, people subjected to sustained loud noise face significantly higher risks of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, allergies, and chronic migraines. Unlike other environmental stressors, noise is often uncontrollable — making the home environment critical. Your windows are your first and most effective defence.
Advanced multi-chamber profiles, premium perimeter sealing, and bonded glazing technology all reduce vibration transmission. When glass is directly bonded to the sash rather than resting in rubber channels, it no longer behaves as a resonating membrane — eliminating one of the primary paths for noise to enter your home.
At 47 dB of noise reduction, a busy main road outside your window becomes virtually imperceptible indoors. Noise Class V — the highest rating in the European classification system — means aluplast® acoustic windows deliver a quality of silence that was once exclusive to recording studios and luxury properties.
Most break-ins occur through windows and glazed doors — often in under 3 minutes. aluplast® safetec inside technology meets RC2 resistance class, eliminating the most common attack methods entirely.
Conventional window glazing relies on rubber channels to hold the glass in the frame. A practised burglar can use a suction cup and a flat tool to silently pop the glass out of the frame — bypassing every lock without a single sound. This technique is alarmingly common and leaves no visible trace of forced entry.
aluplast's safetec inside technology bonds the glass to the profile around its entire perimeter with structural adhesive. The glass becomes a permanent part of the window — it cannot be removed without destroying the frame. Combined with multi-point locking hardware, this creates a system that meets and exceeds the RC2 European burglar resistance standard.
European RC classes range from RC1 (basic security) to RC6 (bank-grade). RC2 is the threshold at which windows actively deter and delay experienced opportunistic burglars using crowbars and hand tools — covering over 95% of real-world residential break-in attempts. aluplast® meets this standard at standard installation depth.
By bonding the glass to the profile around its entire perimeter, aluplast® makes the glass itself a structural element of the window — distributing load, eliminating weak points, and extending service life.
Traditional windows hold glass in place with rubber channels and spacers. Bonding Inside replaces this with structural adhesive applied along the entire glass perimeter. The bond makes the sash and glass a single rigid unit — the glass carries static load, resists atmospheric forces, and eliminates any possibility of deformation under wind or operational stress.
The Multifalz system allows the same profile to be used for both conventional spacer glazing and full bonded glazing — letting manufacturers serve diverse customer needs without doubling their stock. Compatible with IDEAL 4000, 5000, and 8000 series profiles.
Steel reinforcements in conventional window profiles create unavoidable thermal bridges. powerdur® inside replaces steel with Ultradur® High Speed — a fiberglass-reinforced composite with 50× lower thermal conductivity than steel.
Steel has a thermal conductivity of λ = 50 W/(m·K). PVC is 0.17 W/(m·K). Every steel reinforcement bar inside a conventional window frame creates a cold bridge that undermines the thermal performance of the entire profile — regardless of how good the glass unit is. powerdur® inside eliminates this fundamental design flaw.
Ultradur® High Speed fiberglass composite matches steel in mechanical strength while delivering dramatically better thermal performance. A frame Uf = 0.94 W/m²K is achieved at standard 70mm installation depth — 40% better than steel-reinforced equivalents — without increasing the frame depth or changing manufacturing processes.
Fiberglass reinforcement runs around the full perimeter of the profile, providing superior screw anchor points for hinges and hardware — unlike conventional steel where reinforcements are recessed away from corners. Combined with bonding inside® technology, powerdur® inside profiles achieve RC2 burglar resistance classification.
aluplast® aluskin aluminium shells combine the thermal insulation of PVC with the modern, premium aesthetic of aluminium — available in all RAL colours for complete design freedom.
Pure aluminium windows look stunning but conduct heat poorly — requiring complex thermal breaks and adding weight. Pure PVC windows insulate brilliantly but are limited in colour and perceived as "plastic." aluskin solves this: an aluminium exterior shell bonded to a PVC core gives you the modern aluminium aesthetic on the outside and the thermal excellence of PVC on the inside.
aluskin shells are available in the full RAL colour spectrum — classic anthracite and slate grey, warm wood-effect finishes, bold statement colours, or bespoke custom tones. Every colour can be applied to both the exterior and interior surfaces independently, enabling window designs that complement any architectural vision.
Aluminium shells are UV-stable, scratch-resistant, and virtually maintenance-free — retaining their colour and finish throughout the life of the window without fading, chalking, or requiring repainting. The material withstands all weather extremes, from heavy rain and UV exposure to coastal salt environments, while the PVC core continues delivering excellent thermal performance throughout.
